A desktop and mobile app concept to help makers acknowledge their biases to make better products.
what is it?
Human Centered Design is broken. It says that says we should not consider about ourselves as we create products for others, which leads us to ignore our biases. As an engineer or designer, sometimes you’re simply too close to a project, or feel deeply about a topic. Your personal feelings need to be acknowledged in the design process, to avoid passing them onto a project.
Deliberative Design is a concept for a mobile and desktop app that incentivizes investigating our biases so as to inject humanity and inclusion into our work.
DD was used to:
design 2 Milwaukee Tool forklift design concepts for that emphasize safety on construction sites
brainstorm and execute 20 front-running Venus razor concepts that are currently in development for 2025 and 2027 release
